Myasthenia gravis Team Introduction
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disorder. Due to impaired neuromuscular transmission, patients commonly experience drooping eyelids, double vision, difficulty swallowing, and weakness of the limbs. This affects not only appearance and self-confidence, but can also compromise breathing function in severe cases.
The Taipei Medical University MG Team understands the long-term stress that people living with MG are enduring. Therefore, we integrate precision medication management from neurology with minimally invasive techniques from thoracic surgery to build a comprehensive, “inside-and-out” care model. Our goal is not only to control symptoms, but also to help patients “regain muscle strength,” return to work and everyday life, and let smiles lost to weakness bloom once again.
